About Garrett
For 12 years Garrett's musical career has been highlighted by service to the elderly and memory impaired. In addition to performing for senior communities, Garrett has had notable performances at historic and prestigious venues across Maryland and Virginia; the Peabody Library, the William Paca House-Annapolis, Virginia Theological Seminary, Glenview Mansion, and the Clifton Mansion. In 2022 he saw his best year of performance with 146 performances and 22 wedding ceremonies.
Garrett began as a self taught enthusiast at 14 years old and found a new home in the instrument. After peaking in several aspects of musicianship and a desire to learn more, he pursued lessons that lead to the art of classical guitar. After high school, he studied exclusively with globally acclaimed guitarist Denis Azabagic for nine months which Garrett credits with the greatest growth musically and technically in such a short period of time that he's ever experienced. This growth in artistic abilities earned Garrett acceptance to Julian Gray's studio at the Peabody Conservatory, another widely acclaimed and accomplished musician.
After graduating in 2017 he has gone on to minister his art to a variety of communities and teach dozens of students of all ages and backgrounds. Garrett believes that musical performance is a life of service, and giving audiences his best is his primary focus.
